Borough of East Berlin

🚨 Public Safety Advisory: Significant Increase In Traffic Expected

East Berlin Borough Emergency Management

East Berlin Borough residents, businesses, and motorists are advised to prepare for a significant increase in traffic throughout the borough during the week of November 16–20, 2026. A large-scale event scheduled to take place in Gettysburg Borough is expected to generate increased regional travel, resulting in heavier-than-normal traffic volumes, roadway congestion, delays, and increased use of alternate routes through East Berlin Borough and surrounding communities.

Motorists should anticipate changing traffic conditions throughout the week and plan their travel accordingly. Residents are strongly encouraged to allow additional travel time, use caution when traveling on borough roadways, and remain alert for increased vehicle and pedestrian activity.

East Berlin Borough Emergency Management is issuing this advisory to raise public awareness and encourage proactive travel planning. Motorists should be prepared for delays and exercise additional caution when traveling through the borough. Additional information will be shared if conditions warrant further public notification.
