Borough of East Berlin

Community Park Update:

On Friday, June 12, Adams County entered the Green Phase of reopening. All park restrictions are removed, but we continue to encourage everyone to follow CDC and Pennsylvania Department of Health guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect the most vulnerable among us.

A portable restroom has been reinstalled.

Pavilion rental forms are available here.

Please respect safety fencing as we proceed with our restroom construction project. We hope to open it later in 2020. We welcome donations to this and other park projects. A Parks Donation form is available on this website.

During the shutdown, Greta Haley, a rising 9th grader at Bermudian Springs installed a Pollinator Garden and Bee Box at the park for her Girl Scouts Silver Star Award. Installation of a labyrinth/maze will be installed near the Pavilion later this summer by Logan Shaw, Eagle Scout candidate. We appreciate two other Eagle Scout projects- the flagpole and planter project installed by Evan Cashman and two new benches installed by Travis Daniels.

Other projects that need sponsorships and would be good candidates for future Scout projects are (1) wetlands boardwalk to connect west and east sections of the park, (2) small dog park on the undeveloped east section of the park, (3) shade structure at the playground, and (4) additional pollinator gardens and shade trees.

Want to help sponsor a project? Click here for the Donation Form. Mail or deliver completed form to East Berlin Borough at 128 Water St, East Berlin, with a check made payable to East Berlin Borough Parks & Recreation. Cash donations are not accepted.

We welcome Amy Burns and Steve Haley as new members of the Parks & Recreation Commission. We have one more vacant seat. The board application is on this website.
